Topic: Student Activities

On Thursday, April 27th, the Tarkington community gathered to play student created cardboard arcade games and raised $936 towards the NEU Tarkington Scholarship through donations.

The NEU Tarkington Scholarship will provide a $500 scholarship to a former Tarkington student who is currently a senior in high school. The scholarship recipients this year are Renata Olvera and Andrew O’Grady, both seniors at Wheeling High School. Renata Olvera will be attending University of Findlay and Andrew O’Grady will be attending University of Pittsburgh.

Tarkington’s Helping Paws club led by teachers Ryann Rivers, Amanda Collett, and Rebecca Zach supports the Cardboard Challenge and the NEU Tarkington Scholarship. These are excellent examples of Tarkington’s commitment to the No Excuses University mission.
