On 8/23, the district will be sending out a mailing to all D21 Residents who have enrolled their child in a D21 School. In that mailing will be information on classroom assignments, principal welcome letter containing information about the first days of school, bus routes (if applicable), Family Orientation Night, school menu, and school supply lists by grade.
In the meantime, please make a note of the following information:
The first day of school for grades 1-5 is Tuesday, 9/3. This is a full day of school (9:00-3:30)
The first day of Pre-Kindergarten (PK) and Kindergarten (K) is Wednesday, 9/4. The AM Session is from 9:00 to 11:30 and the PM Session is 1:00 to 3:30. Parents will receive AM/PM session assignments in the summer mailing.
Family Orientation Night is Thursday, 8/29 from 5:30-7:00 for Grades 1-5 and parents. Detailed information in summer mailing but please reserve the date.
Open House for PK and K is Tuesday, 9/3 during the school day. Specifics included in upcoming mailing.

Because of construction, the Tarkington School Office Staff is located at London Middle School, Room 329 until further notice. If you need to see someone at the office, please visit that location or call the office at 847-520-2775. Once Tarkington is cleared for occupancy, parents will be notified.
